The checker looks for selected words, phrases, and patterns that may be associated with scams. Its results may be incomplete, inaccurate, or affected by the text provided.
A low-risk result does not prove that a message or offer is legitimate. A medium- or high-risk result does not prove that a message or offer is fraudulent.
You remain responsible for independently verifying every employer, recruiter, job listing, request, payment instruction, and offer.
4. Your responsibilities
When using OfferSentry, you agree that you will:

- Remove unnecessary sensitive information before pasting text
- Independently verify employers and recruiters
- Use your own judgment before responding or taking action
- Seek qualified professional assistance when appropriate
Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, passwords, authentication codes, banking information, or identity documents to an unverified contact.
5. Prohibited uses
You may not use OfferSentry to:

- Interfere with or disrupt the website
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or information
- Distribute malware, harmful code, spam, or abusive material
- Misrepresent an OfferSentry result as an official determination

The current checker processes pasted text locally in your browser and does not intentionally store it. However, you should still remove Social Security numbers, banking details, passwords, home addresses, identification numbers, and other confidential information before using the checker.
