OfferSentry

Free recruiter verification tool

Does the recruiter’s email match the company?

Compare the recruiter’s email, company website, and job link for common impersonation and lookalike-domain warning signs.

Check the recruiter

Find this independently—not through the recruiter’s link.
Use the page where the position was advertised.

Privacy: Domain comparisons are performed locally. For public registration and mail-record checks, only normalized domains such as company.com are temporarily processed by OfferSentry’s Cloudflare Worker and public RDAP and DNS services. Full email addresses, complete URLs, and results are not saved to OfferSentry’s database. Do not enter passwords, Social Security numbers, banking information, or other sensitive data.

What the live recruiter checker examines

OfferSentry combines browser-based comparisons with public domain registration and mail-record information. No automated result proves that a recruiter or job is legitimate. For a standalone registration lookup, use our free Domain Age Checker.

Email and company-domain match

Compares the recruiter’s email domain with the independently located company website and checks for small lookalike spelling changes.

Public domain-registration age

Uses authoritative RDAP registry information to identify newly registered domains that may require additional verification.

MX mail records

Checks whether the recruiter’s domain has DNS mail records configured to receive email.

Three checks technology cannot replace

1. Find the job independently

Open the company’s official website yourself and confirm the same position appears on its careers page.

2. Contact the company

Use a phone number or email from the official website—not contact information supplied by the recruiter.

3. Never pay to get paid

Do not send money, buy gift cards, deposit a check for equipment, or return part of a payment.

Have the recruiter’s message?

Run it through OfferSentry’s job-offer warning-sign checker.
